Café Galang ("we", "us", "our") runs a café at 10947 Westminster Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92843. This page explains what information we collect when you use our website, call us, text us or fill out a form, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because the business is simple: we make coffee and food, and we occasionally send you a text if you ask us to.

1. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact details: your name, phone number and email address when you submit a form, call, or text us.
• Message content: the text of SMS messages and emails you send us, including pickup orders and questions.
• Order details: items you order for pickup, pickup time and any special instructions.
• Call records: the date, time and duration of calls to our business line, and the number you called from. Calls may be routed through a call tracking service.
• Website usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of your visit, collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.
• Consent records: the date, time, source and wording of any SMS consent you give us, which we keep as proof of opt-in.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website. In-store card payments are processed by our payment terminal provider, not stored by us.

2. How we use your data

• To answer your questions and reply to your messages.
• To prepare and confirm pickup orders.
• To send you the SMS messages described in Section 3, only if you opted in.
• To keep records of consent and communications as required by carriers and law.
• To understand how the website is used and fix problems with it.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for anything unrelated to running the café.

3. SMS opt-in details

Program name: Café Galang SMS Updates.

Message types: replies to your inquiries, pickup order confirmations and ready-for-pickup notices, appointment or large-order reminders, and occasional specials or new menu announcements.

Message frequency: varies based on your activity. Conversational replies are sent as needed. Promotional messages are sent no more than 4 times per month.

How you opt in: by checking the SMS consent box on a form on this website, by texting us first at our business number, or by giving us your number in store and verbally agreeing to receive texts. Consent is never pre-checked and is never a condition of buying anything.

How you opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time. Reply HELP for help. You can also call us at (657) 667-6014 and ask to be removed.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS consent and phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are not shared with any third party except the platform vendors who deliver the messages on our behalf, and only for that purpose.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to remember your settings, measure traffic and understand which pages are useful. Some of these are set by third-party analytics or advertising tools such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of the site may not work as intended. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no agreed standard for them.

5. Data security

The website is served over SSL/TLS encryption. Forms and message data are stored with our website and messaging platform provider using industry standard safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit. Card payments taken in store are handled by a PCI DSS compliant payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by California law.

6. Your user rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you,
• correct information that is wrong,
• delete your information, subject to records we're legally required to keep,
• stop sending you SMS or marketing messages.

California residents also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information (we don't sell it), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 9. We'll respond within 45 days.

7. Age restriction

This website, our SMS program and our California Lottery products are intended for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Sharing and disclosure

We share personal information only with:

• Service providers who host our website, deliver our SMS messages, route our phone calls and process payments. They may only use your data to provide those services to us.
• Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
• A successor business if Café Galang is sold or merged, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

We never share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. See the callout in Section 3.
